The Mages Guild is an independent guild that provides contract work for those mentally fit and able. The Mages Guild is strictly operated out of Temoric, but has contracts that can take place elsewhere. The guild's primary functions are the pursuit of knowledge, and the collection of magical materials. On occasion the Mages Guild is contracted to protect and rescue others and is generally considered to be a lawful guild. The Mages Guild is often contracted to deal with rouge wizards and as such, only those who are very skilled in magic should consider joining their ranks.
Joining the Mages Guild
To join the Mages Guild of Frosthaven, the only person you can speak to is Adelbert. He can be found among the other guild officers in the Temoric guildhall, which can be found in the Trade District of the city of Njarstad.
Approach Adelbert express your interest in joining the Mages Guild. After speaking with you, he will determine if you meet the necessary criteria and are suitable for membership.
Expulsion
If you are expelled from the Mages Guild, you will not be allowed to rejoin in the future, under any circumstances. The reason for your expulsion could have a ripple effect, potentially leading to being expelled from other guilds as well. It may also negatively impact your reputation and standing with other groups in Frosthaven.
Lockouts
Any who align themselves with unlawful guilds will not be permitted to join the Mages Guild. If you have previously joined an unlawful guild and you were expelled, depending on how far you've advanced in their ranks, you may be permitted to join the Mages Guild.
